You will find out that the weight loss process is actually a series of healthy habits, small steps, that take you closer to achieving your goals, without having to sacrifice things you enjoy and feeling miserable all the the time. Discover Hudson Weight Loss healthy practices for trimming down; implement these tips and enjoy your new fitter & healthier self.

1. Eat your breakfast – Hudson Weight Loss Dietitian’s favourite tip

Enjoying a meal the first moment after you wake up has many benefits. The most important ones include gaining the necessary energy to take you through the day and ensure you don’t get consumed with hunger later in the day and binge on something unhealthy.

2. Drink water

It seems pretty simple, doesn’t it? And it really is! Doing something as simple as starting your day with a glass of water and then having about 2 litres (depending on how active your lifestyle is) of it during the rest of the day is the key to losing weight. Water not only washes away the toxins from your body but is also make you feel full and suppresses the appetite for unhealthy foods.

3. Find an activity you like

Do you know that saying: Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life? The same goes for exercising. Most of us don’t enjoy sweating at the gym or running but we all have a form of activity that we like – it can be tennis, swimming, or any other activity that will keep you moving.

4. Stay motivated

We all have our reasons for losing weight and that’s great, because the stronger your motivation is, the bigger chance you have at succeeding. It is important to recognize the force driving your weight loss efforts and be reminded of it every day. It could be a ‘before and after’ photo attached to your fridge or your favorite jeans that you want to be able to fit again hanging somewhere where you can see them often. Being constantly reminded of your goals will make you steer clear of temptations and ensure your success.

5. Don’t shop for food when you’re hungry

Always have a meal before going groceries shopping. If you shop with a grumbling stomach, you are more susceptible to the all-too-tempting food advertising and may end up buying more food than you actually need.

And there you go – here are your first 5 tips to developing a new healthy lifestyle for yourself. Stay tuned to make sure you don’t miss part 2 of our 10 Good Practices To Losing Weight series.
